However, I had assumed Vader's injuries were from a tie fighter crash as a kid. In the real world, the volcano thing makes no sense, you can't even get close to lava without burning up, let alone fight next to it like your on the beach. Falling in for even a second would be instantly fatal. I drove by a brush fire in Oregon and from 100 feet away a single burning tree was so hot I could feel an intense heat on the side of my body facing it through the window of the car. The lava thing is implausible to those with real world experience. Even getting near it the first thing to go, before your face would be the sensitive linings of your lungs.Stevenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3723667248028171672.post-2273284904391931052020-07-10T11:18:00.538-07:002020-07-10T11:18:00.538-07:00Here's a blast from the past, a soundboard:

The scene is in the marvel comic. I cant be the only one who has seen it? It confused me as Darth couldn't drink with his mask on and probably why it was cut. I've had that snippet of text about Vader stumbling backward into a volcanic pit in my head for the past 41 years, wondering exactly where I had read it. I mistakenly thought it had come from an issue of Starlog, glad to know where it's really from. You're right, I was unaware of the Rolling Stone interview because I was only 9 in '77, so I must have read it in this poster magazine. It does look very familiar, but I don't remember the poster hanging on my wall. I probably just read the thing cover-to-cover in my local book store (Reading & Greeting) without actually buying it. We weren't particularly well-off so I had to be choosy about what magazines I bought, and poster magazines were low on my list. I would likely have bought the then-current issue of Starlog instead.SaturdayMorningFanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01560600479159934582noreply@blogger.com
